CATHOLIC MINISTRIES APPEAL

We begin the annual Catholic Ministries Appeal throughout the archdiocese. The CMA provides vital funding to six local ministries. These ministries include:
● St. Rita School for the Deaf;
● Our Retired Archdiocesan Priests;
● Campus, Hospital, and Prison Ministries;
● Our Seminary and Vocations work at the Athenaeum of Ohio;
● Catholic Charities & Social Services; and
● New Evangelization programming.

We invite you to prayerfully consider making a gift to this year’s CMA.
Thank you for your support.

As Catholics, we are committed to protecting the sanctity of human life no matter the circumstances or stage of development. We live this out by, among other things, accompanying the poor and needy, refugees and immigrants, prisoners on death row, young mothers, and children. In Ohio, the dignity of life in its earliest stages is threatened by groups proposing an amendment to Ohio’s Constitution for the November 2023 ballot that would enshrine and expand abortion at the expense of protections for preborn children and women. The Church must not be silent and cannot remain on the sidelines when confronted with such a clear threat to human life.

"Together with a culture of work, there must be a culture of leisure as gratification. To put it another way: people who work must take the time to relax, to be with their families, to enjoy themselves, read, listen to music, play a sport. "

                                       Mission Statement
The members of the Marion Catholic Community, given life through the Holy Spirit in Baptism, are called together as a community of faith to praise and worship God our Creator and to proclaim in word and deed the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

As members of the Body of Christ we strive to serve all to provide an atmosphere of hospitality which enables all to respond fully to the life-long challenge "to do right and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8
