Beacons of Light is a multiyear process of pastoral planning for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Rooted in prayer, groupings of parishes will come together as one faith community. These new Families of Parishes will be stronger together, focused more on mission than on maintenance. In the Families of Parishes we will grow closer to God, follow Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit and radiate Christ in our lives.

This page will be updated periodically as we move forward in the different phases.

"The parish is a beacon that radiates the light of faith and thus responds to the deepest and truest desires of the human heart, giving meaning and hope to the lives of individuals and families."

Parishioners,
Some have asked about the “save our steeples” FB posts and meetings in our local area. This was created by and is being driven by a couple from one of our parishes opposed to the Beacons of Light focus on becoming one canonical parish. While there may be helpful information shared from the Archdiocese and website on possible modifications to parishes, Fr. Ken is concerned by the methods being used by the organizers and some of the suggestions being made.

Please take a moment to watch the series of videos highlighting Christ Our Light Family of Parishes.  Fr. Ken's hope and prayer is that we focus our efforts on Christ Our light and use our time, energy and resources radiating the Light of Christ to all.

The members of the Marion Catholic Community, given life through the Holy Spirit in Baptism, are called together as a community of faith to praise and worship God our Creator and to proclaim in word and deed the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

As members of the Body of Christ we strive to serve all to provide an atmosphere of hospitality which enables all to respond fully to the life-long challenge "to do right and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8
