St. John the Baptist Church Selected as 2025 Bear Hollow Auction Recipient!
Support Your Parish & the Mercer County Fairgrounds Through This Unique Opportunity
We’re excited to share that St. John the Baptist Church has been selected as a recipient of the 2025 Bear Hollow Wood Carvers Auction, held during the Mercer County Fair on Wednesday, August 13th.
Each year, 16 one-of-a-kind wood carvings are created live at the fair by the renowned Bear Hollow Wood Carvers. These beautiful pieces are then auctioned off to benefit local non-profit organizations and individuals.
How It Works:
Since 2017, this event has raised over $227,000 for worthy causes. Now, you can make a difference in two meaningful ways—by supporting our parish and the Mercer County Fairgrounds!
If you would like to contribute directly toward the auction carvings benefiting St. John’s, please contact the Mercer County Fairgrounds at 419-586-3239.

Support Your Parish & the Mercer County Fairgrounds Through This Unique Opportunity

- If a carving sells for $10,000 or less, 50% of the proceeds go to the recipient.
- If it sells for more than $10,000, 75% of the proceeds go to the recipient.
- The remaining funds help support ongoing improvements at the Mercer County Fairgrounds.
