Confirmation

Picture

Confirmation at MCC

Confirmation is said to be the sacrament of maturity, as we confirm the faith and the gifts which we received at Baptism. Jesus promised the Apostles that He would send an advocate to guide them. He promised that He would send the Holy Spirit. In the sacrament of Confirmation, we encounter Jesus as He sends the Holy Spirit upon us in power.

Confirmation is celebrated during a student’s freshman year. Each student is asked to attend a confirmation retreat, commit to service hours, write a Saint report, and participate in a readiness interview.

The Marion Catholic Community Confirmation Mass will take place at Precious Blood Catholic Church on Sunday, February 7, 2027 at 11 am with Archbishop Robert Casey presiding.

                                       Mission Statement
The members of the Marion Catholic Community, given life through the Holy Spirit in Baptism, are called together as a community of faith to praise and worship God our Creator and to proclaim in word and deed the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.

As members of the Body of Christ we strive to serve all to provide an atmosphere of hospitality which enables all to respond fully to the life-long challenge "to do right and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8
