Beacons of Light - Pastoral Planning
Here is a message from Archbishop Schnurr to the faithful regarding Beacons of Light. CLICK HERE to read the letter.
We had our 2nd meeting which included members of our staff and some members of our church councils. Tom Kueterman, Director of the St. Marys Deanery gave a presentation on this new pastoral planning initiative. It was a great presentation and explained the entire process.
An introductory meeting was held which included members of our staff and some members of our church councils. This meeting was held to talk about what we know up to this point about Beacons of Light and what to look forward to in the months to come.
There are three things you can do right now. They are:
1) Pray and fast
Pick a day of the week to pray and fast that this initiative will bear long-term fruit in our community and Archdiocese.
2) Pray for vocations
Please offer prayer every day for vocations. We ask that families talk about vocations within the household. Parents, are you helping your children think about a possible life as a priest, sister or brother?
3) Don't jump to conclusions
There are more questions than answers at this point so we just ask that you don't jump to conclusions or spread information that might not be accurate.

Beacons of Light is a multiyear process of pastoral planning for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. Rooted in prayer, groupings of parishes will come together as one faith community. These new Families of Parishes will be stronger together, focused more on mission than on maintenance. In the Families of Parishes we will grow closer to God, follow Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit and radiate Christ in our lives.
This page will be updated periodically as we move forward in the planning phase.
